Girlguiding Brussels (part of BGIFC British Guides in Foreign Countries) [website]
Has your toddler become a little girl? Or is your little girl growing up and needing a challenge, an after-school English-speaking activity and a chance to meet new friends?
British Girlguiding could be just what you are looking for. We have three units (Rainbows, Brownies and Guides), providing fun and challenging activities in English for girls aged 5 – 14 in Waterloo. Our meetings are run by qualified volunteer leaders and unit helpers, following the British Girlguiding programmes.
If your daughter would enjoy being part of one of our units perhaps you would like to get involved too? Join a team of motivated women ready to give up a few hours per week to the development of these young girls. As a trainee leader you would be helped through various modules to equip you for the job (including some very useful practical training such as First Aid and First response courses). As a unit helper you would be involved in planning the meetings and working as a team with the other unit leaders. The three Waterloo units form part of the Brussels District guiding unit and so we have more fellow guiders to share resources with close by. We also meet for training sessions with our colleagues from across the Benelux County on an annual basis.
