Activities

The Belgium section of the Royal Society of Chemistry was established in the mid 1980’s and has around 100 professional chemists as members. The section organises an active programme of lectures and visits during the year with the majority of activities, including an annual demonstration lecture, held in or around the Brussels area. However, group expeditions, both professional and social, are also organised throughout Belgium and beyond!

The section is growing its links with schools, both in the Anglophone educational community and the wider Belgian and European language communities, through competitions and other outreach activities.

The section publishes a newsletter that is distributed to section members and an extensive list of ‘Friends’ of the section. The latest issue of the newsletter can be found on the RSC website. To find out more about section activities, please contact the section secretary: Tim Reynolds (see contacts).
